Our move to Lyndoch

4 May by Jodie Grantham

To our Barossa District Netball family

This week begins our new chapter at Lyndoch. These world class new grounds, that we have the privilege to call our home, truly is a once in a lifetime opportunity. It is very hard to envisage that anything bigger will ever be afforded to our club.

Club volunteers have contributed countless hours over the last couple of years that have led to this day. The dream that is becoming a reality was born from the foresight of club officials over 20 years ago. To them it’s a big thank you and to everyone in between that has continued the vision.

There have been many netball committee members and volunteers who have contributed to making our first home game possible. Thank you to you all.

To the existing committee your contributions over the last two weekends has been above and beyond. It’s been inspiring to witness your teamwork.

It’s not very often we single out individual efforts but we really would not be in this position if it was not for a couple of club officials.
Chairperson , Jamie Sibbick and Facilities Director, Rebecca Tappert, take a bow. The amount of hours that these two have volunteered over the last twelve months has no words. The club is forever in debt to these amazing individuals.

So now we all get to continue the journey to make our great club even better.
Let’s all together welcome the opposition to our grounds with humble pride.
Let’s continue to bring everything to our game; respect, teamwork and sportsmanship.
And as always, let’s participate and engage in all facets of our club for the remainder of the season.

Thank you for the ongoing support to the entire netball committee. This is new territory for us all so please don’t be afraid to tap a committee member on the shoulder with your great ideas to help us continuously improve.

Coming together is the beginning,
Keeping together is progress,
Working together is success.

See you all with smiles wide at training and on Saturday.
A new era starts here, let’s make it legendary.

Netball President
