National Volunteer Week
23 May by Jodie Grantham
It’s estimated over 5 million Australians over the age of 15 volunteer their time in some way.
And we have a great bunch of them at Barossa District Football and Netball Club.
Volunteers are the backbone of our club. They are the very reason we are able to exist and enjoy the game of netball.
On behalf of the netball committee we say thank you. We are deeply grateful to our dedicated volunteers whose passion and commitment are the driving force behind everything we do.
To our coaches. Your tireless efforts, whether guiding, mentoring, or supporting behind the scenes, uplift and empower everyone around you. You are not only valued members of our team but true role models who lead with heart, integrity, and purpose. Your impact reaches far beyond the hours you give — you inspire growth, confidence, and community in all our players.
As we celebrate volunteers week the committee has provided each of our coaches with a small gift of thanks.
I encourage you all to take the time to express your gratitude to our coaches on Saturday. Remind them that their hard work matters and they are truly valued.
The theme for volunteers week 2025 is “connecting communities”. What a great example our club is of this.
Thanks to everyone for being a part of it.
